Estimated market cap = the last daily CoinGecko circulating-supply snapshot × the latest Coinbase trade price fetched hourly. Supply changes and exchange-price differences can cause discrepancies. CoinGecko IDs and global ranks are synced daily for up to 1,500 coins; Top 100 uses that daily global ranking, not a Coinbase-only ranking. Missing supply or unmatched coins show a dash, not zero. A failed daily sync retains the previous snapshot without blocking price updates.
Rank changes are reconstructed from Coinbase daily closes, so there is no need to wait for daily snapshots. Today compares with the previous UTC day's close; 3D and 7D compare with the closes 3 and 7 days before the latest data date. Both dates use the current filters and only coins with data on both dates, including BTC. An upward move means moving toward the top of the selected ranking, not necessarily a price gain.
Coinbase prices refresh hourly; CoinGecko supply and global ranks sync daily. Both caches are shared by all visitors. Manual refresh is disabled on the public website.
